• WHAT do we do?

  At Onavo, we develop our apps with our families and friends in mind, so it should come as no surprise that we are committed to bringing the highest levels of design, technology and security to our mobile apps. Whether we actually know you or not, you are part of our Onavo family, and we take your user experience, the protection of your privacy and the preservation of your anonymity very seriously. • WHERE does data go?

  When you use Onavo apps, our content delivery network delivers to your phone an efficient, optimized version of the mobile Internet that feels, acts and looks the same but uses less data, thus saving you precious megabytes so that you get more value out of your data plan. For Onavo Count, our content delivery network processes Internet content to protect your battery while tracking your apps' data usage.

  In the process, we make sure to protect all of your information. We do not share or sell any personal information, ever. Data that passes through our content delivery network is governed by our apps' TRUSTe-certified privacy policy.

• WHEN do we collect data?

  When data passes through our content delivery network, we collect two categories of data: anonymized unique data and anonymized aggregate data.

• WHY do we collect this data?

  We use anonymized unique data to afford you the best Onavo app experiences. We use this data to provide you with information about your unique data usage, such as how much data you saved, how close you are to reaching your monthly data cap and data used by each of your apps, for example.

  We use the anonymized aggregate data from users around the world to help us improve our services, products and Onavo experiences for you and the other Onavo app users around the world.

  To keep our apps free, we may share insights based on fully anonymized, aggregated data as part of Onavo Insights, which others in the app ecosystem use to help them improve their own products. For example, we may share which apps are popular by aggregating the usage of millions of users. Your personally identifiable information will never, ever be shared with third parties for research purposes.

• HOW do we protect data?

  Onavo follows the strictest industry standards and adheres to TRUSTe's high industry standards to protect your data and privacy. Our team includes leading security experts whose job it is to protect your data.
